ERODE, SEPT. 14. Parent-Teachers' Associations should be started in every school for its effective functioning, the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan, said. She was speaking after inaugurating the computer centre (funded by the former Union Minister of State for Non-Conventional Energy M. Kannappan from his MP Constituency Development fund) at the Erode Edayankattuvalasu Municipal Middle School. The Erode Municipal Chairman, M. Subramanian, who presided, said that municipal schools were functioning in rented buildings. Hence he appealed to the Government to provide sufficient land for construction of buildings for these schools. An expo was also arranged in the school in connection with the inauguration.
