TUMKUR, SEPT. 14. Three persons, including a 10-year-old girl, were killed and seven injured when a private bus in which they were travelling hit another bus on Bangalore-Hassan highway at Siddapura in Kunigal taluk on Monday. The victims were going to Nagamangala from Bangalore when the accident occurred. The police gave the name of the girl as Shilpa (10). The injured Shivakumar (30), Lohit (16), Tejaswini (9), Hemalatha (30), Revannasiddaiah (40), Ramanna (60), and Gowramma (60) were admitted to the Kunigal hospital. Ramanna was later shifted to NIMHANS in Bangalore. In another road accident, Viswanath (18), worker of a bakery here, was killed. The police said Viswanath of Kambarahalli was riding a bicycle when a truck carrying borewell drilling equipment knocked him down at 8.30 p.m. The police arrested the driver and seized the truck at Bandihalli after a chase.
