Hutch launches mobile shops

BANGALORE: Hutch, with a subscriber base of 4.42 lakhs, on Tuesday rolled out the first ever mobile phone industry initiative of mobile shops to provide faster online service to its customers. Hutchison Essar South Chief Executive Officer for South, Samuel Selvakumar, told newspersons here that the company, which parallely launched the mobile Hutch shops in Gujarat, said the innovative retailing concept would enable current and potential customers to get facilities from the mobile shops parked in their locality. Hutchison Essar has licences for 13 circles in India and had a combined subscriber base of over six million. — UNI
