CUDDALORE, SEPT. 14. The District Revenue Officer, M. Ganesan, has warned that use of domestic LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders as fuel for vehicles was illegal and violators would be penalised. Following a directive from Mr. Ganesan to crack down on such violations, a team comprising the District Supply Officer, R. arimuthu, the Personal Assistant to the Collector, Nagarajan, the Special Tahsildars, Krishnamurthy and Parasuraman, along with police personnel carried out vehicle checks at Alpet near here on Monday. During the checks,the officials seized seven LPG cylinders, each weighing 14.2 kg, and initiated action against the vehicle owners.
