Special Court judge may take charge today

BANGALORE, SEPT. 14. The judge of the Special Court, constituted to try the cases against the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, and others, is likely to take charge on Wednesday.

Sources told The Hindu on Tuesday that A.S. Pachhapure would take charge as the judge of the Special Court on the City Civil Court premises here.

Meanwhile, the State Government has directed the Education Department to appoint, on contract, 20 lecturers who know English, Kannada and Tamil as translators. They are expected to translate documents of property and other records that are in Tamil.
