Siblings drowned while bathing

THRISSUR, SEPT.14. A nine-year old girl and her seven-year-old sister were drowned while bathing in Manali river, near Thrikkur, in the district this afternoon.

Fire Force officials who recovered the bodies of the girls gave their names as Gayathri and her younger sister, Subaha. They had gone for bathing along with their mother when they accidentally swam into deep waters and got drowned.
