CHITTOOR, SEPT.14. The Kanipakam Varasiddi Vinayakaswamy temple executive officer, Kesavulu, has said that Abhishekams will be cancelled in the temple during Brahmostavams to be held from September 18 to October 8 in order to provide easy darshan for pilgrims. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said Suprabath seva, Pavalimpu seva and Sankathara Ganapathi sevas would be introduced in the temple during Brahmosthavam. A amount of Rs.551 for Suprabhatham, Rs.150 for Pavalimpu and Rs.151 for Sankathara Ganapathi sevas would be collected from devotees. All arrangements are being made to provide the required facilities for pilgrims at a cost of Rs.20 lakhs. Cultural events would be held everyday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. during Brahmothasavams, Mr. Kesavulu, said.The principle priest, Chandramouli Gurukkal, was also present.
