Double for Divya

HYDERABAD, SEPT. 14. Divya of Etasi Timpany School clinched a double, emerging the individual champion in senior as well as junior groups of the swimming events at the sports meet conducted by the Association of ICSE and ISC Schools here recently. In the senior boys' section, the title went to Jonathan of HPS and the junior boys' title went to V.V.S. Pavan Kalyan of Siva Sivani.

In athletics, L. Suresh of HPS and Sheeba Raj of St. Ann's High School won the senior boys and senior girls individual championships respectively.

In the juniors section, it was Vikram of HPS among the boys, while in the girls category, the individual championship was jointly won by Monica of Geetanjali School and Tejaswini of Siva Sivani School.

According to a statement released by Mr. U.G. Reddy, Secretary-Treasurer, Association of ICSE and ISC Schools, about 1200 students took part in various tournaments. The gold and silver medal winners will be representing Andhra Pradesh in the National sports meet for ICSE and ISC schools at Jamshedpur.
