Canara Bank triumphs

BANGALORE, SEPT. 14. Canara Bank beat Vijayanagar Ballbadminton Club 20-1, 29-5 to take the Patre C. Vinayak and S.L.V Associates Trophy, as the curtains came down on the State-level Ball badminton tournament organised by the Merry Go Round BC here at the RBI layout court on Tuesday.

Individual prizes: Men: Best centre: Mallesh (KPTCL), Best front: Satish (Canara Bank), Best back: Mayur (Vijayanagar BC B), Man of the tournament: Venkatram (Sriranga BC)

Women: Best centre: Savitha (Merry Go Round), Best front: Shalini (Spoorthy, Mysore), Best back: Smitha (SBBC), Woman of the tournament: Arunjyothi (Merry Go Round).
