Power shutdown today, tomorrow

MANGALORE, SEPT. 14. There will be no power supply on Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. because of urgent maintenance work on the 110/11-kV substation at Kavoor.

A Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd. release here on Tuesday said that power supply to Bajpe, Derebail, Konchady, Yeyyadi, Akash Bhavan, Padavinangadi, KPT, Infosys, Kuloor, Kavoor, and Moodushedde would be affected.

Power supply would be cut between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday in areas receiving power from the Udupi-Brahmawar 33-kV power line and the 11-kV feeder line from the Brahmawar 33/11-kV power substation and the 11-kV Udupi-3 feeder.

Power supply to Brahmawar, Herur, Sasthan, Cherkady, Barkuru, Kallianpur and Udupi city would be affected, the release said. Power supply would be disrupted between 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. as KPTCL planned to install SF-6 gas circuit breakers on the 33-kV Mahe and Hebri feeders. Power supply would be affected in Mudradi, Belinje, Kalthuru, Hebri, Bailuru, Ajekaru, Nekre, Nitte and adjoining areas, it added.
