Special train to Chennai on Friday

BANGALORE, SEPT. 14. The South Western Railway will run a special train between Bangalore and Chennai on Friday.

It said in a release here today that the train (No. 0684) would leave Bangalore at 9.30 p.m. on Friday and reach Chennai the next day at 4.35 a.m.

On the return journey, the train would leave Chennai at 9.45 p.m. on Sunday and reach here at 5.15 a.m. on Monday.

It would run via Bangalore Cantonment, K.R. Puram, Bangarpet, Kuppam, Jolarpettai, Ambur, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur. It would have two two-tier AC coaches, one three-tier AC coach, 12 second-class sleeper coaches, three general second-class coaches and two second-class sitting-cum-luggage vans.

Extra coaches

The release said the following trains would have an additional two-tier sleeper coach: Train No. 6526 Bangalore-Kanyakumari Express, Train No. 6221 Mysore-Chennai Cauvery Express, Train No. 8564 Bangalore-Visakhapatnam Prashanti Express, Train No. 7086 Bangalore-Secunderabad Express and Train No. 8004 Yeshwantpur-Howrah Express.
