MUMBAI, SEPT. 15. Tata Motors today announced the national launch of its new estate, the Tata Indigo Marina at a function in Mumbai today. The Indigo Marina is priced in the range of Rs. 4.24 lakhs-5.19 lakhs (ex showroom, Delhi) and the debuts with three models of petrol and two models of diesel in five attractive colours. The Indigo Marina is powered by the tried and proven 1.4 litre high performance 85 PS petrol engine and the highly fuel efficient 62 PS turbo charged diesel engine. The base petrol model comes with manual steering and air-conditioning as standard features at Rs. 4.24 lakhs while the top-end petrol model is priced at Rs. 4.84 lakhs. The base diesel version comes with heating and air conditioning, power steering and body coloured bumpers as standard and is priced at Rs. 4.80 lakhs while the top-end diesel model is priced at Rs. 5.19 lakhs. In Mumbai, the three petrol versions, GLE, GLS and GLX are priced at Rs. 4.29 lakhs, Rs. 4.54 lakhs and Rs. 4.9 lakhs respectively. The two diesel versions, LS and LX, are priced at Rs. 4.87 lakhs and Rs. 5.27 lakhs respectively. Speaking on the occasion of the commercial launch, R. N. Tata, Chairman, Tata Motors, said, "The Tata Indigo Marina is the third offering from the company's new car platform. It has been developed to cater to a lifestyle, aspirational segment and it is hoped that the car will be received as well as the Company's previous products by the market. Estate cars have not been very popular in India and we hope to break the tradition and give a lifestyle car".
