SHIMLA, SEPT. 15. High peaks in Lahaul and Spiti districts today experienced mild snowfall, while mid and lower hills received moderate to heavy intermittent rain during the past 24 hours. Moderate to heavy rains lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh, bringing down the temperature in the regions. High altitude areas of Lahual and Spiti districts experienced snowfall till this morning, according to a report received here. Shimla and its adjoining areas were lashed by heavy rain since last night. The capital hill resort recorded 15.3mm rainfall till noon, meanwhile Sundernagar in Mandi district recorded 49.2 mm rain and Bhuntar in Kullu district recorded 7 mm rain, according to met office here. However, the lower regions also received intermittent rain since last night. Heavy rains lashed various parts of the Hamirpur and Mandi districts last night bringing down the temperature. Electricity, water and telecom services were affected due to heavy rains in certain parts of Hamirpur district, the reports said. UNI
