KARIMNAGAR, SEPT. 15. Congress activists went on the rampage ransacking the camp office of the Union Minister and TRS president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, in front of the Collectorate complex this afternoon, protesting against his reported remarks against the AICC president, Sonia Gandhi. The Congress activists, led by the town president, Akarapu Bhaskar, the District Youth Congress president, Y. Sunil Rao, the district NSUI president, V. Anjan Kumar, the APCC BC cell secretary, Ama Anand, and others, including Narender Reddy, A. Ramu, went in a procession to the camp office of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao and burnt his effigy. They later entered his office and damaged furniture and office equipment. The police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. The police arrested 12 persons and registered a case under Sections 148, 149, 448, 427, 506 against the Congress leaders and other activists.
