MADURAI, SEPT.15 American College and Sourashtra College were declared joint-winners as the men's final of the SDAT inter-collegiate hockey tournament between them was abandoned due to rain at the end of the first session. At that time there was no scoring. In the semi-finals American College beat Thiagarajar College of Engineering 4-0. Balakrishnan (3) and Sathya Seelan scored. Sourashtra College beat M.A.V.M. College 6-1. Balasubramanian (2), Anand, Ramachandran, Gopalakrishnan and Krishnamurthy scored for Sourashtra College. Rajesh scored for M.A.V.M. College. Lady Doak College emerged winner in the women's tournament defeating Fatima College by a solitary goal scored by Selvi in the 19th minute. In the semifinal, Lady Doak College beat EMG Yadava College for women 4-0. Isabella Josephine and Uma Maheswari scored a brace each. Fatima College beat V.V.V. College, Virudhunagar 2-0. Gowri and Jeevitha scored.
