UDHAGAMANDALAM, SEPT. 15. Andhra Pradesh boys fought a bold battle to hold fancied Kerala to a 2-2 draw in the 27th sub-junior national football championship south zone qualifying round at the HADP Open Air Stadium here on Wednesday. In fact, it was Andhra Pradesh that found the net quite early in the match. Abdul Rahman caught the defenders off guard with a stunning move and then packed in a powerful shot to open the account for the team in the 13th minute. Down by an early goal, the Kerala forwards moved upfront and kept raiding the rival's citadel time and again. One such move earned them the much-needed equaliser. Nautal was instrumental in gaining the goal for the team that came in the 26th minute. Even before the Andhra Pradesh boys could regain the momentum, Altaf Hussain sailed home a beauty to help Kerala take a 2-1 lead. At this juncture, Andhra Pradesh pressed hard for the equaliser and managed to squeeze home one through Abdul Rahman.
