Mangalore
By Our Staff Correspondent
By Our Staff Correspondent MANGALORE, SEPT. 15. The Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Arvind Shrivastava, has appealed to the people of the city to participate in the Coastal Clean-Up Day on September 18 in Panambur and Ullal beaches. In an appeal sent to the press here on Tuesday, Mr. Shrivastava has said that the coastal clean-up day was an international event and as Mangalore is one of the important coastal cities, people should help the administration in cleaning up the beaches. The Coast Guard Mangalore Division would organise the cleaning operations, he added. He said educational institutions, social service clubs, non-government organisations and individuals should join the drive.
