Four killed in road accidents

BANGALORE, SEPT. 15. Four persons were killed in separate accidents reported in the city on Monday and Tuesday.

A 55-year-old man was killed when he was knocked down by a private bus at Garvebhavipalya in Madiwala police station limits on Tuesday night. The victim was wearing a white shirt and dhoti, the police said. The driver has been arrested and the bus seized.

Manju (30) of New Tippasandra was killed when the moped he was riding was knocked down by a lorry on Hebbal flyover on Tuesday. The police arrested the driver and seized the lorry.

An autorickshaw driver was killed and a passenger was injured when a maxicab hit the vehicle near Jayamahal in R.T. Nagar police station limits on Wednesday. The police have identified the dead as Lokanath (60). The injured, Pavitra (28), has been admitted to a private hospital.

A 30-year-old woman riding a two-wheeler was killed when a motorcycle hit her vehicle near Mutturaya temple in Byatarayanapura police station limits on Monday night. The victim was 156 cm in height and wearing a light green saree.
