COIMBATORE, SEPT.15. Nearly 500 hundred students of a private Arts and Science College today staged a road roko near their college on Kalapatti Road on the outskirts of the City this afternoon demanding widening of the road and more bus services during peak hours. The agitation was triggered by the death of Nithyanandam (18), a student. A bus knocked him down on Tuesday. Traffic was disrupted for nearly two hours. The police and revenue officials held talks with the agitating students. Following assurances the students lifted the blockade.
