Sanskrit scholars honoured

CHENNAI, SEPT. 16. Three Presidential award winners in Sanskrit and Vedas, M. Narasimhachariar, D. Prahladachar and Manakkal Krishnamurthy Ganapatigal, were honoured on Sunday last during the School Day and Sanskrit Day at Sri Ahobila Math Oriental Higher Secondary School, West Mambalam.

Mrs. Y.G. Parthasarathy, Dean, Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan group of schools, presided over the function. Speakers, including K.E. Govindachariar, Vice-Chancellor of the Deemed University, Tirupati, R. Ananthan, Principal, Muthukumaraswami College, Muthamizh Nagar, and V. Viswanatha Sarma, President awardee, praised the awardees.

Mrs. Parthasarathy lauded the school for imparting the high values of Indian culture and tradition.
