BELGAUM, SEPT. 19. The district administration, in cooperation with the Chennai-based Indian Children's Film Society and the owners of cinemas, has organised a 15-day children's film festival in the district. The festival will be inaugurated on November 14 to coincide with Children's Day. A committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, M. Maheshwar Rao, to organise the festival. In all, 10 select films symbolising courage and values will be screened in different theatres in the city and the district. There will be five films in Kannada and Hindi. The Kannada pictures to be screened include "Omme pass Omme fail, Hello, Innondu Mukha, Chamtyarada Kote, and Snehave Jeevana." The Hindi films are "Mein Phir Avoonga, Goal, Magarmach, Malli, and Bachhe Man Ke Sachhe." About two lakh children in the district are expected to watch these films at a subsidised fare of Rs. 3 a ticket.
