MYSORE, SEPT. 19. The Chief Commissioner of Central Excise and Customs, G.K. Pillai, today released a logo to mark the 175th anniversary of St Bartholomew's Church here. Bartholomew's Church, situated on the Bangalore-Nilgiri Road near the Suburban bus stand in the city, is not just a landmark but also a heritage structure. The Mysore City Corporation Commissioner, A.B. Ibrahim, who was also present on the occasion, urged the Church authorities to ensure that hoardings and posters did not mar the view and beauty of the great structure. As part of the 175th year celebrations, the church will organise exhibitions, seminars, workshops and inter-religious conferences. Church Pastor Fr. Anil Kumar participated in the function.
