ERODE, SEPT. 19 . The judge of the Erode District Consumers Redressal Forum, R. Sainathan, wanted Non-Governmental Organisations to spread the significance of traffic rule and urged students to go to rural areas to create awareness. Presiding over a seminar on Road Safety Awareness organised by the Maaruthi Medical Centre and Hospital (MMCH) on Saturday, he said that accidents are on the increase. This was due to the increase in number of vehicles. He cited the United States for having less number of accidents though the numbers of vehicles are more when compared to India. The reason was that the public follow traffic rules. The Superintendent of the Erode Government Headquarters Hospital, K.K.A. Usain Ali, presided. The chairman of the MMCH, Sadhasivam, welcomed.
