THRISSUR, SEPT. 19. Development schemes worth Rs. 50 crores would be implemented in the Kodakara constituency in 20 months, the Forest Minister, K. P. Viswanathan, has said. Speaking at a public reception at Kodakara, near here on Saturday, the Minister announced that the Chimmini dam would be developed as a tourist centre. Overbridges would be constructed at Kodakara and Puthukkad. A subway would be built at Amballur. The Puthukkad and Thrikkur drinking water schemes would be completed. The Vellikkulangara-Nayattukundu road would be repaired, the Minister said. The Speaker, Therambil Ramakrishnan, inaugurated the function. Among those present on the occasion were the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee treasurer, C. N. Balakrishnan, and the District Congress Committee president, M. P. Bhaskaran Nair.
