Rituals to be performed in Sabarimala today

PATHANAMTHITTA, SEPT. 19. A `kalabhabhishekom' and `sahasrakalasam' will be performed at the Lord Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala tomorrow.

According to the devaswom executive officer, V.S. Rajagopalan Nair, the tantri, Kantaru Mohanaru, will perform the rituals prior to the `utcha' pooja tomorrow.

He said the Ayyappa shrine witnessed heavy rush today. The Kerala High Court judge, K. Padmanabhan Nair, was among those who visited the Sannidhanam.

The temple will be closed after the `athazha' pooja on Tuesday evening.

A `laksharchana' would be performed for the first time at the Malikapuram Devi Temple on Tuesday, he said.

Opening of sanctum sanctorum — 5 a.m.

Ganapathi homam — 5.10 a.m.

Abhishekom — 5.15 a.m.

Neyyabhishekom — 5.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

Usha pooja — 7.15 a.m.

Kalabhabhishekom — 12.15 p.m.

Sahasrakalasam — 12.30 p.m.

Utcha pooja — 1 p.m.

Deeparadhana — 6.45 p.m.

Pushpabhishekom — 7.30 p.m.

Padi pooja — 8 p.m.

Athazha pooja — 9.30 p.m.

Harivarasanam — 10 p.m.
