ANANTAPUR, SEPT. 19. The death of Laxmidevi, a housewife of Cholasamudram village in Kuderu mandal, in the General Hospital here on Saturday, has raised many eyebrows. She allegedly killed her three-year son, Shivashankara Varaprasad, on September 14 by mixing poison in his food. It was alleged that she also planned to kill her daughter as wanted to end her marriage with K. Chandrasekhar and be with Jagan, a PW sympathiser. Laxmidevi's husband and villagers alleged that she had an affair with Jagan. However, the PW claimed that it never encouraged such happeningsand suspected the role of the police. The woman's husband said she used to visit her parents quite often after leaving the children with him. The exact causes of her death have not been established clearly so far.
