Army recruitment rally from October 8

VIJAYAWADA, SEPT. 19. An army recruitment rally for candidates belonging to Krishna, Guntur, Nellore, Prakasam, Anantapur, Cuddapah and Chittoor will be held from October 8 to 15 at the Tarakarama Sports Pavilion in Tirupati.

Candidates will be recruited to the categories of soldier tradesmen, soldier general duty, soldier technical, soldier clerk/storekeeper and soldier nursing assistant. While non-metric candidates are eligible for tradesman and general duty the minimum educational qualification for recruits to other categories is Intermediate or ten plus two.

Only the candidates born on April 1, 1982, or after and before April 9, 1987 are eligible to participate in the rally. Candidates interested in soldier general duty category should be born after April 1, 1984 (not 1982 like in the case of other categories).

Different dates have been fixed for screening of documents and physical fitness test for candidates of different categories.
