NIZAMABAD, SEPT. 19. The district Collector, D.V. Raidu, has said that steps are being taken to address the problem of shortage of revenue stamps at the district treasury and that the first tranche of stamps worth Rs. 24 lakhs will reach the district headquarter on September 21. In a press release on Sunday, Mr. Raidu said that stamps would be distributed among all sub-treasury offices in accordance with their indent.
`Dial-your-Collector'
To improve administrative accountability, besides self-confidence among the public, grievances aired during the `Dial-your-Collector' programme every Monday being noted down, he said, adding that steps were being taken to redress them in a week. He said socio-economic problems, which were not solved at village or mandal levels in the stipulated time would be solved at the district level.
