NCC training camp from Sept. 22

TIRUCHI, SEPT. 19 . The 14 (TN) Battalion NCC, Dindigul will conduct a 12-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) cum Republic Day competitions at the National College Hostel Grounds here.

The camp is being conducted on behalf of the NCC Directorate of Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andaman & Nicobar and NCC Group Tiruchi.

The CATC will commence on September 22 and would go on till October 3. Around 800 National Cadet Corps cadets, both boys and girls, from various parts of Tamil Nadu as well as from Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar would take part in the annual training camp.

The Group Commander is Colonel P.S. James and the Commanding Officer of the Dindigul Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel, R. Suresh would be the Camp Commandant.

According to Lt. Col. Suresh, the camp is aimed at developing character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless services amongst the young cadets besides training for them the Republic Day parade at New Delhi.
