BANGALORE, SEPT. 19. A person man trying to immerse a Ganesha idol drowned in a "nallah" in Bandepalya in Madiwala Police Station limits on Sunday evening. The police gave the name of the victim as Srinivas (25), a weaver, from Adugodi. He had gone to the spot along with 14 others in a procession to immerse the idol. He entered the waters and got stuck in it. Unable to swim back, Srinivas was washed away in the waters. A rescue team that included Fire Force personnel, was pressed into service to trace the body when reports last came in, the police said.
