Action taken

COIMBATORE, SEPT. 19. Officials of the Labour Department raided 503 commercial establishments and 102 eateries and action has been initiated against those that did not have name boards in Tamil. A release said that action was initiated against 371 shops and 37 eateries that either did not have Tamil name board or the Tamil script on the boards were smaller than those in English.

Grievances day

The Superintending Engineer of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Coimbatore South will conduct a grievances meeting at the office of the executive engineer, Palladam, on September 22 at 11 a.m.
