VISAKHAPATNAM, SEPT. 19. The police broke the fast-unto-death of N. Madhumati at the Collectorate and admitted her to the King George Hospital yesterday. The 40-year-old woman, who is separated from her husband, Venkatapathi Raju, an employee of Food Corporation of India, sat on fast on Wednesday demanding action against corruption. According to her, she was thrown out from Venkatapathi Raju's house six years ago for insisting on him to give up corruption. Her eldest daughter, is a final year engineering student. The Two Town police, who deployed a constable for her security in the Bhavanagar ward of KGH said on Sunday that she was recovering from her fast. Her blood pressure, which came down during the fast, was now normal, police said.
