By Our Special Correspondent
VIJAYAWADA, SEPT. 19. As part of its efforts to provide more efficient services to passengers, the Vijayawada division of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will observe a `courtesy week' from September 20 and 26. According to the RTC Regional Manager, U. Sudhakara Rao, on Sunday the corporation would concentrate on educating the field staff including drivers and conductors who would have continuous interaction with the people about the way they should behave and treat passengers. Gate meetings to be addressed by the depot managers concerned and the union leaders would be held at all depots while banners and pamphlets would be distributed among people to create awareness about the facilities available for them. "We have over four lakh passengers opting for our services every day. There is utmost need to create awareness among them about the facilities being extended," Mr. Rao said.
