CHENNAI, SEPT. 19. Two men, accused in murder cases, were injured when a country bomb in their possession exploded at M.G.R. Nagar near Tiruverkadu this evening. Chengai (East) police said Senthil Kumar, Mohan Babu and Sampath, all belonging to Dindigul, had been in jail for their involvement in murder cases in that district. They were recently released and had come to Chennai. They were in possession of some country bombs, one of which exploded this evening, injuring Mohan Babu and Sampath who are in hospital. The police have arrested Senthil Kumar. The police said the men were involved in a number of murder cases that were a result of an inter-gang rivalry in Dindigul. The men said they kept the country bombs for `self defence.'
