KOCHI, SEPT. 19. The Youth Congress State general secretary, Simmy Rosebell John, has demanded that the State Government review its decision to permit mineral sand-mining on the coast of Alappuzha. In a statement issued here today, Ms. John said that the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, must take the initiative to remove the doubts over a decision taken without any discussions in the Cabinet. The Government should respect the sentiments of the people and withdraw the decision, she added.
