HIV-infected child critical

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, SEPT. 19. The condition of a seven-and-a-half-year-old girl, Sony, from Ottasekharamangalam, who has been who has been under treatment at the SAT hospital here for the past one month following illnesses related to HIV infection is critical, hospital sources said.

The child is the last member of her family, all of whom were HIV-infected. Her parents had died earlier and last month, her sibling had also died of the infection.
