THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, SEPT. 19. One person was injured in an attack by a gang at Muttathara under the Kovalam police station limits late tonight. Jayan, 40 was hacked on the leg by the assailants in front of a toddy shop. Police said the attack followed an altercation between two groups. Jayan has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital. Hospital sources said the injury was not serious.
Hurt in accident
Six persons, including three children, were injured when an autorickshaw ferrying passengers collided with a Tata Sumo at Vembayam on the MC Road this afternoon. The injured persons include Tulasi, 43, Kumar, 33, Vijayakumari, 46, Aswathy, 14, Arunima, 5 and Nandu, 8. While Nandu was referred to the SAT hospital, the others were admitted to the Medical College Hospital. Hospital sources said all the victims had multiple fractures.
