Partly cloudy day ahead
The maximum temperatures recorded at Safdarjung and Palam on Sunday were 34.9 degrees Celsius and 35.9 degrees Celsius respectively, while the minimum temperatures stood at 26.2 degrees Celsius and 26.3 degrees Celsius. The maximum relative humidity recorded at Safdarjung was 86 per cent and the minimum relative humidity was 53 per cent. At Palam, the maximum relative humidity was 89 per cent and the minimum relative humidity was 49 per cent.
Man killed
The police said checking was going on in the ES-II Delhi-Sonepat passenger train when two young men jumped off to avoid being caught. One of them, later identified as Shiv Pal, hit a poll before landing on the ground. He died instantly, while the other, Latoori Singh, sustained head injuries.
Guard dies
The deceased was identified Manish, a native of Bihar. The police said he was assaulted by another security guard, Sudhir, with a kitchen knife following an altercation.
