Bus knocks down motorcyclist

CHENNAI,
SEPT. 20.
In yet another fatal accident involving a Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus, a motorcyclist was knocked down and killed on the spot near Tambaram today.
Police said V. Jayakrishnan (35) of Anna Nagar in Perungulathur, on a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle, was climbing the Irumbuliyur bridge on his way towards Vandalur, when he was knocked down by the bus (route A18) en route to Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Vandalur. The accident happened when the bus driver tried to overtake the motorcycle, police said.
