VISAKHAPATNAM, SEPT. 20. Two persons suspected to be involved in the Nayaduthota murder case were arrested on Sunday. According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (North) N. Samuel Prasad, Sheik Ahmad (21) alias Ali and Ch. Varahalu Babu (21) who allegedly murdered V. Rama Rao at his residence on July 20 this year were arrested in Kotavuratla mandal.
Fake promises
Rama Rao was allegedly running a fake recruitment agency. He collected huge sums from many, promising them jobs in the police force and in the Army. Based on some clues at the scene of offence the police launched a manhunt and nabbed the duo on Sunday morning and put them on remand. According to Mr. Prasad, Sheik Ahmed, who is from a poor family, also paid Rama Rao Rs. 35,000 for a job in the Army. After he failed in the trials, Sheik and his friend Varahalu killed Rama Rao, police said.
