CUDDALORE, SEPT. 21. The Neyveli Lignite Corporation Director (Personnel), R. Narasimhan, has been nominated as the chairman of the Regional Advisory Committee (Chennai region) of the Central Board of Workers' Education. A statement from the NLC says the Union Ministry of Labour nominated Mr. Narasimhan in recognition of his service in the sphere of human relations and his professional acumen. The Central Board of Workers' Education is involved in imparting a number of programmes for workers' education for the benefit of various organisations. The Board is divided into various zones and regions, with the Regional Advisory Committee administering the workers' education scheme. The committee consists of 16 members with a chairman, a regional director, State Government representatives including the Labour Commissioner, the Joint Chief Inspector of Factories and representatives of employees and trade unions.
