AGRA, SEPT. 21. Terming her 12 days of tiranga (tricolour) yatra from Hubli to Agra as success, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Ms. Uma Bharti, said it had changed her life. ``I saw people in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh being emotionally swayed by the tricolour'', she said. The three colours of the national flag were indicative of shakti, shanti and pragati' (strength, peace and progress), she said and added that Uttar Pradesh was the most appropriate place for holding a debate on self- respect and development. She was accompanied by senior BJP leaders the former Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister, Kalyan Singh and the State BJP chief Kesri Nath Tripathi. Replying to questions Ms. Bharti said she had not run away from the challenges in Madhya Pradesh because the BJP continued to be in power. ``My efforts will be to make the BJP implement the promises it made to the people'', she added. ``If Ms. Gandhi does not accept my challenge, I will seek the permission of the BJP to start a nationwide debate on the issue,'' she said.
