Vivek shines

BANGALORE, SEPT. 21. Vivek's all-round performance (74 and four for 43) helped ITI Vidyamandir defeat Christ HS by 81 runs in a Parle Cup inter-school tournament's first phase knockout match here on Tuesday. ITI Vidyamandir scored 248 and bowled out Christ HS for 167.

The scores: ITI Vidyamandir 248 for seven in 45 overs (Vivek 74, Vijay 46) bt Christ HS 167 in 32 overs (Srikanth 36, Sinto Varghese 32, Maruthi four for 39, Vivek four for 43).

Kendriya Vidyalaya 162 in 27.5 overs (Karan 49, Koushik Naib five for 34, Praveen Kumar four for 36) bt Vijaya HS 98 in 32.5 overs (Koushik Naib 52, Prateek Reddy three for five).

St. Germain's HS 262 in 44 overs (Omar 60, Suhail 58, Amith five for five) lost to Sindhi HS 263 for six in 43 overs (Nydruva 77, Shankar 57).
