Ajit humbles Chiranjeevi

HYDERABAD, SEPT. 22. Ajit Singh of Haryana got the better of K.Chiranjeevi of Andhra Pradesh on points in the light fly weight category bout of the All India open boxing championship for General Manager's Trophy which began at RRC Indoor Stadium here today.

Chiranjeevi showed the desired speed and agility to keep the opponent on guard in the initial phase of the bout. But, the Haryana boxer rose to the occasion when it mattered most with a flurry of powerful jabs to clinch the issue at 13-7 on points.
