BANGALORE, SEPT. 22. The Yelahanka police on Tuesday arrested a person for allegedly stealing computer parts from a factory. The police recovered a central processing unit and a scroll mouse from the accused. The police gave the name of the accused as Devaraj (20) of Yelahanka.
Aluminium wires stolen
The Peenya police on Monday arrested two persons on charges of stealing aluminium wires and scraps. They have recovered the aluminium materials worth Rs. 1 lakh. The police gave the names of the arrested as Amulraj (42) and M. Udaykumar (23), both from Tiruvanvelli district of Tamil Nadu. The police said the accused had allegedly stolen the material from two factories in Nelagadaranahalli and Chokkasandra respectively.
Livestock theft
The Jeevanbimanagar police have arrested five persons allegedly involved in stealing cattle. They have recovered two cattle and a canter vehicle worth Rs. 3 lakh. The police gave the names of the accused as Akram Pasha (27) and Nayeed Pasha (30) of Shanti Nagar, Mohammed Aslam (19) and Imtiyaz Sharief (25) of Mysore, and Sardar Khan (40) of Kalyanagiri. The police said the accused used drive away cattle from houses and also those on roads. Two cases of theft of cattle had been registered against the accused in the Central and the Jeevanbimanagar Police Stations.
