TIRUCHI, SEPT.22 . The people should take advantage of self-sufficiency scheme implemented through a participatory derive instead of depending on the government to create various facilities, the Collector, V. Pandian, said. Speaking at a mass contact programme at Omanthur near Mannachanallur today, he said the Government has introduced `Our Village' scheme to create basic facilities in rural pockets. He asked farmers to take advantage of special waiver schemes for farm loans so that banks would be able to recycle funds for sanctioning fresh loans. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Lalgudi, Muthiah, and the Magaging Director, Tiruchi District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union, Doraisamy, spoke.
