HYDERABAD, SEPT. 22. An unidentified person, who extended a helping hand to two road accident victims, disappeared with their motorcycle after sending them to a hospital in an autorickshaw. Sub-Lieutenant of Indian Navy, Shailesh Singh Rana (24), and his friend, Neomi Das, sustained bleeding injuries when their vehicle skidded on the road at Balamrai Water Works office on September 19 evening. One of the passers-by came forward to shift Mr. Rana's motorcycle and sent them to a nearby hospital in a three-wheeler. Rana and Das got admitted to hospital, but the `rescuer' did not return the vehicle. On receipt of a complaint from Mr. Rana on Tuesday, the Begumpet police registered a cheating case and launched a hunt for the fake rescuer.
