Permanent seat: China non-committal

BEIJING, SEPT. 23. China today remained non-committal on supporting the joint bid of India, Brazil, Germany and Japan to join the UN Security Council as permanent members citing the ``great divergence'' of views and called for more discussions on the topic. ``If you ask me which countries should enter or which countries should not enter the Security Council, we have never made such comments before,'' the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Kong Quan, told reporters.
