THRISSUR, SEPT. 23. A Krishi vigyan kendra has been opened at the Kerala Agricultural University's information and sales counter at Mannuthy near here. The Kendra, which has been opened with financial aid from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), will conduct training programmes for farmers, rural youth, students and extension activists in the district in agricultural-related areas. According to a release from the University the Kendra has also `village adoption programmes' under which villages will be converted into model agricultural villages by giving them the required technical input and extension services.
