JAC alleges raw deal to Telangana staff

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, SEPT. 23. The Joint Action Committee of the Unions of Telangana employees, teachers and workers has asked the Government to implement the interim report of the Girglani committee on anomalies in the six-point formula.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the JAC chairman, C. Vittal, the co-chairman, L. Tajmohan Reddy, and the secretary general, T. Prabhakar, decried the Government's attitude in not implementing the GO No. 610 despite making a firm commitment to various Telangana employees' organisations recently. Stating that injustice was being done to employees and people of Telangana, the leaders threatened agitation if the Government failed to respond to their plea.

Stir threat

In the recent recruitment test conducted by the AP Public Service Commission (APPSC), Telangana youths were deprived of jobs due to non-implementation of the six-point formula.

They alleged neglect of Telangana employees in promotions in the municipal administration and irrigation departments.
